This article sought to understand Binge Eating Disorder (BED) from an interdisciplinary perspective, exploring how the integration of Behavioral Nutrition and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can effectively contribute to managing this condition. A literature review was conducted to analyze strategies that aim not only to modify eating patterns, such as intuitive eating and mindful eating, but also to restructure dysfunctional beliefs related to eating behaviors and body image. The study emphasized the relevance of psychological care in addressing emotional factors associated with BED, such as anxiety and body dissatisfaction, especially within a sociocultural context that reinforces aesthetic standards. The findings suggest that combining nutritional and psychological approaches provides more comprehensive and humanized interventions, leading to a reduction in symptoms and improvement in overall quality of life.
