This article investigated the importance of personalized prenatal care for pregnant adolescents, aiming to analyze how tailored care can influence maternal health and neonatal outcomes. Adolescence is a phase of vulnerability in which pregnancy can pose greater health risks to both the mother and the baby, making it essential to understand how specialized care can reduce these risks. An integrative literature review was conducted, with searches in databases such as MEDLINE, LILACS, SciELO, and BDENF. The research was limited to articles published between 2020 and 2025, in Portuguese and English, using descriptors such as "Prenatal care," "Adolescent pregnancy," and "Gestation." The selection process followed inclusion criteria for full studies relevant to the topic, with a focus on prenatal care for adolescents. The analysis of the selected articles revealed that adolescent pregnant women who receive adequate prenatal care have a lower risk of complications such as low birth weight and prematurity. The review also highlighted that lack of adherence to prenatal care among adolescents is associated with factors such as fear, misinformation, and socioeconomic barriers. Moreover, the role of nursing was considered essential, both in health education and emotional support, with comprehensive follow-up being a key factor in improving treatment adherence and reducing risks for both mother and baby. The study reinforced that personalized prenatal care can have a significant impact on reducing complications in adolescent pregnancies. Early intervention and specialized care, focused on the individual needs of pregnant adolescents, are essential for improving pregnancy outcomes and promoting maternal and neonatal health.
