Abstract

Extrajudicial adverse possession, introduced by Law No. 13.465/2017, provides a more efficient way of regularizing properties in Brazil compared to the traditional judicial model. This innovation aims to facilitate land regularization and improve the accessibility and efficiency of notarial services through digitalization and electronic procedures, promoting greater transparency. However, its implementation faces challenges, particularly due to resistance from sector professionals to technological adaptation and the requirements of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). The research uses a deductive approach and bibliographic analysis to understand the impacts of this change on Brazilian legislation and jurisprudence, focusing on the modernization of the legal system and the effectiveness of extrajudicial adverse possession.
