Technology has played a crucial role in education, driving transformations in teaching and learning processes by enabling the diversification of methodologies, many of which allow students to take a more active role in their own learning. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated this process, as many digital tools adopted by teachers during that period remained in classrooms, and remote and hybrid learning became a global reality. This article discusses the technological evolution in education, the challenges and opportunities brought by the pandemic, and future perspectives for technology-mediated education. To this end, theoretical references addressing the relationship between technology and education were used, along with studies on the pandemic's impact in this context and research conducted with teachers and students.
