Abstract

The aim of this study is to conduct a literature review on the Student Assistance Policy process in Federal Institutes from 2021 to 2024, based on the study of articles that address the topic and that identify the student audience reached by the actions of this public policy. An integrative literature review and documentary analysis are used. There was an influence from student representation movements in the implementation of the Student Assistance Program in Federal Institutes. It is concluded that the Student Assistance policy still needs to improve significantly and is far from what was intended to assist the permanence of students in situations of social vulnerability due to a lack of resources.
