This article aims to analyze the main occupational hazards present in fish farming, as well as the prevention strategies discussed in scientific literature. The research was conducted through a systematized bibliographic review, analyzing studies published between 2013 and 2023 in major scientific databases. Twelve relevant studies were selected, addressing physical, chemical, biological, and ergonomic risks faced by workers in this sector. The results reveal that, despite the growth of fish farming as an economic activity, occupational safety remains a neglected area, with high rates of work-related accidents and illnesses. The causes are associated with direct sun exposure, handling of loads, use of chemical products, and failures in the use of protective equipment. The lack of specific regulations and adequate training exacerbates the situation. It is concluded that there is an urgent need for public policies, continuous worker training, and the implementation of more effective preventive measures to ensure safe and healthy working environments in fish farming.
