Abstract

The school team must embrace the project, objectives, and goals outlined for the School, so that the service offered is of quality and meets the needs of everyone. The commitment of the team in the school environment refers to the degree of involvement, dedication, and responsibility that the members of a school team, including teachers, managers, other employees, and even students, demonstrate in relation to the objectives, goals, and values of the educational institution. The school bylaws are a guiding document that must be aligned with the Legislation and be known and followed by those who are governed by this document. Considering the importance of the engagement of educational agents and their awareness of the attributions/functions that they must exercise in the educational institution where they work, the objective of this study was to describe whether the educational actors of five State Schools of Pernambuco have acted efficiently and in coordination with Decree No. 48,477, of December 26, 2019. For this, a field research was developed in Public Schools located in Municipalities of the State of Pernambuco. The subjects studied were managers, management assistants, secretaries, support educators, and educational analysts, totaling 20 subjects. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire, and the data were presented using a qualitative and quantitative approach. It was found that the educational actors who develop their activities in the five schools included in the study presented different perceptions regarding the development of their actions, attributions related to their function, and the engagement and collaboration of those involved in the educational process. In this context, school management should seek strategies to raise awareness among educational actors regarding the need to perform their functions efficiently and, above all, to offer continuing education to all those who collaborate directly or indirectly in the educational process.
