Abstract

That the COVID-19 pandemic was a challenging event for everyone is indisputable. Each sector of society sought tools to overcome this stage in the bestway and education in turn was not left out and climbed painful steps for teachers, families and students. Forwarding activities that made it possible to expand skills, develop new concepts and transform the moments of lockdown into effective learning processes, required the creativity of teachers, families and some efforts that tested the mental health of all involved. Throughout the process, the discoveries of the scarcity of technologies, lack of cell phones or computers that could help, poor or non-existent Internet connection, families with few knowlewdge resources to access, manipulate the content and offer support to the student.Undoubtedly, this event was a great moment in education where teachers and students came together to learn in another format, where a large universe opened up for discussions: how this whole approach would be carried out?On this path were the specialized institutions, whose work was focused on people with moderate and severe disabilities. In this way, this proposal seeks to bring important reflections on the challenges of education, both in regular schools and in specialized institutions, and also to evaluate the advances that other ways of looking at families and their technological resources to help the student and seek to adapt the activities according to the reality of the students to make it easier to carry out the proposed activities.
