The mental health and well-being in education have become central themes in the contemporary educational context, especially after the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The school environment, which should be a space for learning and development, often turns into a place of pressure and stress for students and teachers. The transition to remote learning, social isolation, and academic uncertainty have significantly contributed to the rise of disorders such as anxiety, depression, and burnout syndrome among educators and students. Given this scenario, strategies aimed at promoting emotional well-being have become indispensable. This article discusses the importance of implementing approaches such as mindfulness and emotional intelligence in education, highlighting their contributions to students’ resilience and emotional balance. Furthermore, it emphasizes the need for educational policies that prioritize mental health, including teacher training, psychological support, and curriculum reform to incorporate socio-emotional education. Through an analysis based on academic literature and recent studies, the article proposes pathways to transform the school environment into a more welcoming space, fostering the holistic development of individuals.
