LITERACY AND ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION: THE ROLE OF THE PEDAGOGUE IN THE TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS

This article aims to address the topic of literacy and literacy development. Both processes are part of the foundation of a child's school life, and it is through them that students are included and participate in a variety of social practices. The justification for choosing this topic is based on its contemporary nature, as well as the expectation of contributing to the academic field. The data collection related to the objectives corroborates the descriptive methodology that was carried out through bibliographic and qualitative research, specifically in the electronic databases Lilacs and Scielo; through which one can perceive the importance of the role of the pedagogue in ensuring an excellent quality education for the student, encouraging them to read, study and be curious about learning new things. The study showed the importance of educators needing to have diverse literacy and literacy methodologies to work playfully with children; since introducing literacy in Early Childhood Education has its advantages and its respective responsibilities. Indeed, the results found showed that it is essential to respect the importance of play at this stage, so the ideal is to combine learning with play. Literacy. Early childhood education. Pedagogy.
