PLAYING AS A MOTIVATING FACTOR FOR LEARNING IN CHILD DEVELOPMENT

This article aims to present the importance of playing as a motivating factor for learning and child development. The research is based on the theoretical basis of some authors such as: Vygotsky, (2008), Piaget (1978), Kishimoto (2008). Learning and cognitive development through games and play are highlighted. As well as the approach to toys and their importance in early childhood education, as well as the relationships established between action and meaning of the toy (symbol), and playing through games, from the perspective that the development of the child must be considered in its cognitive, affective and social dimensions, understanding that these are simultaneous and intertwined, perceiving play as a facilitator of the construction of this learning.
