This investigation sought identify whether it is possible for the educator's pedagogical practice to be given new meaning due to the length of time this professional has worked in a specific teaching environment, even if the educator does not have adequate training for this. The idea was to understand how this process can occur in the teaching modality of Youth and Adult Education (EJA).Bibliographical research was used as a method, based on articles and theorists that support this theme. The results showed that it is possible that even if the educator does not have adequate training to work in a certain type of teaching, their pedagogical practice can be given new meaning through the experiences lived in the day-to-day classroom with students and between them and their peers in the school environment.
