Abstract

Worldwide distributed, sporotrichosis is a zoonosis that must be constantly monitored. In Brazil, there are several reports that corroborate that the disease suffers from underreporting; therefore, it is essential to identify suspected cases. In this regard, this article aims to report the experience and results obtained by the Animal Diagnostic Laboratory of the Department of Veterinary Medicine at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora during its project of testing suspected cases of feline sporotrichosis in cities in the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais.
