This study analyzed the challenges and perspectives of using technology in teaching practices, considering its influence on the teaching and learning process. The problem investigated was to understand what obstacles and opportunities teachers face when incorporating technological tools into teaching. The general objective was to examine the impacts of educational technologies, highlighting the structural and pedagogical challenges and the possibilities for innovation in teaching. To this end, a bibliographic research methodology was used, based on academic publications on the subject. During the development, issues such as teacher training for the use of technology, school infrastructure, inequality in access to digital resources, and methodological changes driven by virtual learning environments were addressed. It was identified that, despite the difficulties, technology can favor the personalization of teaching and student engagement when used in a planned and intentional manner. The final considerations indicated that technology, by itself, does not promote transformations in education, but it can act as a facilitator of learning if there is adequate training of teachers and public policies that guarantee digital inclusion. It was also noted that there is a need for future studies that assess the concrete impact of technological innovations on students' academic performance and teachers' pedagogical practices.
