Abstract

This study aims to explain the importance of integrating digital media in the educational context; describe its purpose in teaching; identify the types of digital media utilized; analyze the significant positive outcomes in the teaching and learning process. With Digital Media and its Application in the Teaching and Learning Process as its theme, this study focuses on an exploratory, qualitative research methodology, supported by bibliographical research for foundation and critical analysis of the topic, based on printed and electronic texts. There is a great need to promote discussions on the topic, as the resources that this technological generation envisions require the use of instruments that facilitate effective educational strategies, such as digital media. Since this analysis is relevant to Education, it enables the technical and cognitive development of the student necessary to stimulate permanent learning. Therefore, it is essential for teachers to use significant methodological practices, as they structure, organize and are excellent strategies for planning courses, with technological advances incorporated into the educational environment.
