The continuation or not of the studies of students in youth and adult education – EJA depends on numerous factors, including the motivation for the classes that are offered daily. This occurs, mainly, due to their peculiar characteristics that involve the need to work, difficulties in studying at the most appropriate school age, as well as due to their self-esteem so weakened by their personal anguish and socioeconomic difficulties imposed by government economic models that privilege only the wealthiest in our society. Identifying and proposing motivating actions for their permanence in studies is not an easy task. This article aims to analyze the reasons that lead EJA students to seek a better future through study.
