The study addressed the use of gamification as a strategy in instructional design, investigating how playful elements can transform educational practices and facilitate the teaching-learning process. The overall objective was to analyze the benefits and challenges of this approach, exploring its potential to motivate learners and improve educational experiences. The methodology consisted exclusively of bibliographic research, with the analysis of relevant sources on the subject, highlighting theoretical foundations and practical examples of gamification in the educational context. The development included a review of the concepts of gamification and instructional design, followed by the analysis of the advantages, such as increased engagement and the promotion of meaningful learning, in addition to the challenges, such as the need for technological infrastructure and teacher training. The final considerations indicated that gamification is a promising strategy, although its application depends on specific conditions and efforts to overcome barriers. It was concluded that, with the necessary adjustments, this approach can transform education in different contexts.
