The judicialization of health represents a mechanism for access to justice and constitutionally guaranteed fundamental rights. However, the growing volume of lawsuits related to this issue has consequences for public management, especially for public coffers. Therefore, finding alternatives to this phenomenon is essential for the realization of the right to health. Faced with this scenario, the Rio Grande do Norte Court of Justice (TJRN) developed and implemented GPSMed, a data platform that aims to help the public administration by providing information on the judicialization of health in the state. With this in mind, this study aims to analyze the potential of GPSMed to be a tool for dealing with and managing the judicialization of health in Rio Grande do Norte. To this end, this research adopts a qualitative approach to investigate the judicialization of health, especially in Rio Grande do Norte, and its impact on the public budget, combining a literature review and a case study of GPSMed. The combination of theory and practice aims to critically analyze how the management of process data can support strategic decisions in the area of health and help reduce its judicialization.
