This study aimed to analyze the mortality profile of women of reproductive age (WRA) in Teresina, Piauí, from 2019 to 2023. The research was based on data from the Mortality Information System (SIM) of DATASUS, with the objective of identifying the main causes of death and the characteristics of the women who died, as well as the associated socioeconomic and demographic factors. This analysis sought to understand the inequalities in access to and the quality of healthcare for women, particularly those outside the gravid-puerperal cycle. The mortality profile of women of reproductive age in Teresina reflects significant inequalities in healthcare access and quality. High mortality rates due to preventable diseases and the worsening of untreated health conditions highlight the need for public policies aimed at prevention, early diagnosis, and comprehensive healthcare for women, with a focus on equity and strengthening health services.
