The objective of this article is to examine the changes introduced by the 2017 Labor Reform in Brazil, with an emphasis on the dynamics of collective labor agreements. Through a bibliographic review, the study explores the historical evolution of the labor market and changes in labor relations, highlighting key aspects that have influenced the current legislative framework. Significant modifications were made to labor legislation with the reformulation of the CLT (Consolidation of Labor Laws), such as the enhancement of collective autonomy and the prioritization of agreements over conventions in specific aspects. The study also addresses the legal and social implications of these changes by evaluating the advantages and disadvantages for the parties involved. The prevalence of collective agreements over collective conventions represents progress in decentralizing labor negotiations; however, it also raises debates about potential negative impacts on workers' rights. The report concludes that, although the changes aim to modernize labor relations, it is crucial to balance flexibility with the protection of fundamental employee rights.
