This article, entitled "The Importance of the Support Network for Victims of Domestic Violence in the Family and State Context", examines the challenges faced by women experiencing domestic violence, emphasizing the importance of family and state support networks to ensure their protection and recovery. The research, based on a bibliographic review of articles published between 2020 and 2024, investigates the enforcement of the Maria da Penha Law (Law No. 11.340/2006) and its practical limitations, highlighting gaps in monitoring and the implementation of protective measures. The study also explores the factors that perpetuate violence, such as family neglect and the lack of understanding about violence models. It concludes that, despite legal safeguards, insecurity persists due to inefficient public policies and limited awareness of victims' rights, underscoring the need for a more structured and effective support network.
