This study examines the relationship between Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and accessibility in society, focusing on the challenges faced in creating truly inclusive spaces. The main objective was to analyze existing barriers and effective strategies to promote the inclusion of people with autism in different social contexts. The methodology employed consisted of a comprehensive literature review, using a qualitative approach to examine recent studies, public policies, and practical cases. The results indicated that, despite advances in autism awareness, significant challenges persist in adapting public and private spaces to meet the specific needs of people with ASD. The research revealed the importance of a multidisciplinary approach that considers sensory, communicational, and behavioral aspects in creating inclusive environments. The discussion addressed the implications of these findings for architects, urban planners, educators, and public policy makers. It was concluded that creating truly inclusive spaces for people with autism requires not only physical adaptations but also a cultural and attitudinal change in society.
