Introduction: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is characterized by deficits in communication, social interaction and behavior, often associated with motor and sensory difficulties. Physiotherapy plays a key role in promoting motor development and social inclusion of these children. Objective: To analyze the contributions of physiotherapy in the motor development of children with ASD, highlighting techniques and benefits. Materials and Methods: This is a literature review on physiotherapeutic interventions, such as hydrotherapy, hippotherapy, music therapy and play activities, based on relevant scientific studies. Results: Physiotherapeutic interventions have been shown to be effective in improving balance, motor coordination, body perception and functional autonomy. Early diagnosis and treatment potentiate these results due to brain plasticity in childhood. Conclusion: Physiotherapy is indispensable in the treatment of children with ASD, promoting significant motor and social advances, as well as improving the quality of life of these children and their families.
