The third sector plays a strategic role in promoting sustainable development in the Amazon, reconciling socioeconomic advances with environmental preservation. The richness of the biodiversity and the social vulnerabilities of the region become sustainable forest management initiatives and the strengthening of value chains, such as açaí, castanha and essential oils, indispensable. These actions do not only generate and boost the regional economy, but also promote the responsible use of natural resources. However, the scalability and effectiveness of these initiatives face, such as the absence of coordinated public policies, insufficient financing and lack of adequate leaders, limiting the replicability of two forest management models. The study used a literature review based on databases such as Scopus, Web of Science and Spell, complemented by non-Google Scholar readings, to analyze integrated strategies that link sustainable management to economic development for the benefit of Amazonian communities. In addition, brainstorming techniques will enrich the research by highlighting its relevance. Collaboration between the third sector, the public sector and civil society is essential to enable an inclusive and lasting bioeconomy, ensuring that economic progress respects environmental and social limits, generating positive impacts for the present and the future.
