Acute Coronary Syndromes consist of a nosological entity, characterized by the set of signs and symptoms that indicate ischemia of the heart muscle, and its consequences depend on the degree and location of the obstruction, and its diagnosis and treatment must be carried out immediately and accurately. As an intervention method, minimizing the amount of morbidity and mortality and improving care, the state of Paraíba implemented the Coração Paraibano Program. Thus, this work aims to describe the care and hospital approach of patients with acute onset of symptoms of Acute Coronary Syndrome by the Coração Paraibano Program. This is a cross-sectional and descriptive epidemiological study, carried out at the Hospital Regional Deputado Manoel Gonçalves de Abrantes in Sousa-PB, using as data collection, secondary data from patients diagnosed with Acute Coronary Syndromes in the period from May to October 2024 who were treated by the Coração Paraibano Program. To meet the requirement for cardiovascular disease care, the Paraíba Heart Program was developed in conjunction with the Health Department of the State of Paraíba to care for patients with Ischemic Heart Disease. Thus, the care for patients with Acute Coronary Syndromes was observed, with the months with the highest incidence being June, August and September. It was also observed that in these respective months, there were more care provided in the Paraíba Heart Program, with 10 patients transferred in August, 9 patients in September and 11 patients in October. When analyzing the implementation of this project in the hospital service, it is possible to verify no negative points, but many positive points after its implementation in the service. We conclude that the Paraíba Heart Program Protocol was a revolutionary project in the care of patients with ACS, with numerous benefits being highlighted after its implementation, in addition to providing a broader view of new therapeutic possibilities, evaluation by specialized teams, training of professionals and standardization of care through protocols, whose effectiveness provides results in treatment and better patient outcomes. It also highlighted the lack of publications on the Paraíba Heart Program and ACS, the absence of epidemiological data and the correlation of heart diseases with temperature variations in the cities and in the state of Paraíba.
