Storytelling plays an important role in Early Childhood Education, aiming at the cognitive, emotional and social development of children. Thus, through narrative, it becomes possible to stimulate creativity, imagination and vocabulary, in addition to encouraging ethical and cultural values. This study discusses storytelling in Early Childhood Education and explores the multiple facets of this pedagogical practice, highlighting its contribution to the construction of critical thinking and to the strengthening of emotional bonds between educators and students. Finally, the research emphasizes that storytelling is more than an educational tool, as it is an art that transforms learning into a playful and meaningful experience for the development of children.
