The Unified Health System (SUS) seeks to serve the population under the principles of universality, comprehensiveness, and equality. The Family Health Strategy (ESF), which is the gateway for users into primary care, relies on multidisciplinary teams to provide care to the population. Among the forms of care offered, home visits are included. This article aims to report the experience of nursing and dentistry residents during interprofessional care during a home visit for a bedridden patient, victim of a stroke, performed at a Basic Health Unit located in the city of Ponta Grossa, Paraná. The results of the care show the importance of the interprofessional approach to improving the patient's health. Despite the challenges encountered, it was concluded that this method of care is effective and innovative, provides comprehensive and personalized care for each individual and thus improves the quality of life of the population.
