Abstract

This article deals with the new Regulatory Framework for Civil Society Organizations implemented by Federal Law 13,019/2014, which establishes the legal framework for partnerships between Public Administration and Civil Society Organizations. From this perspective, the concept, emergence, historical evolution and social movements that gave rise to the Third Sector in Brazil are presented, as well as the definition of Civil Society Organization. After that, the main points of this Law and its applicability will be analyzed. The research aims to clarify whether the Law has brought benefits to organizations, what has changed and what it was like before for small and large organizations.
