STUDY ON THE IMPORTANCE OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT IN THE PROCESSES OF THE PUBLIC SCHOOL CAIC DARCY RIBEIRO IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ILHÉUS – BA

Abstract

Quality management has ceased to be a topic restricted to the corporate world and has increasingly gained relevance in the school environment, especially in public institutions. This article aims to map the perceptions of the managers of the CAIC Darcy Ribeiro school, highlighting the importance of practices that promote continuous improvements in the educational process. The methodology employed included a bibliographic review and the application of a questionnaire, through the Google Forms platform, consisting of 11 questions designed to evaluate the current state of school management, the factors impacting the quality of education, and the training of managers. The research had three respondents, all of whom were school managers. The analysis of the responses showed that efficient quality management is essential for optimizing administrative and pedagogical processes, as well as enhancing educational outcomes. It was also observed that the qualification of school managers is a crucial factor for improving daily processes, as they play a central role in decision-making and team leadership. Based on the collected data, it was possible to conclude that the adoption of a quality management system at the CAIC Darcy Ribeiro school would significantly contribute to the improvement of educational performance indicators and the satisfaction of the entire school community. The proposed approach aligns with the needs identified in the research and complies with theoretical frameworks, demonstrating that manager training and the adoption of best management practices are essential for the success of this initiative.
