This study investigated the importance of technology in teacher training in the 21st century, highlighting the challenges, training strategies, and impacts of this transformation on the educational process. The overall objective was to analyze how technologies influence teacher training and how teachers have adapted to new educational demands. The research was conducted through a literature review, using academic sources, books, and specialized articles. The analysis indicated that technologies, such as e-learning platforms, MOOCs, and Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs), have contributed to the personalization of teaching, the development of technological skills, and the improvement of pedagogical practices. However, barriers were identified, such as the lack of infrastructure, teacher resistance, and the scarcity of specific training, which hinder the full integration of technologies in teacher training. The final considerations indicated that technology plays a fundamental role in teacher training, but requires adequate planning, ongoing support, and an efficient infrastructure to be implemented. The research also suggested the need for future studies that explore diverse educational realities and how technologies can be integrated into teacher training curricula.
