This study addressed the issue of the effectiveness of digital tools in the cognitive development of children in early childhood education. The overall objective was to investigate how these technologies could be used to promote cognitive skills, such as attention, creativity, and problem-solving. The methodology adopted consisted of a literature review, which analyzed relevant sources on the use of digital tools in education. The results indicated that the integration of digital technologies in the educational environment generated significant improvements in student attention and engagement. The research also revealed that the role of the educator in mediating the use of digital tools was fundamental, highlighting the need for ongoing training so that teachers could guide children in the appropriate use of these technologies. The analysis suggested that digital tools, by providing interactive experiences, contributed to effective and engaging learning. The final considerations highlighted the importance of continuing research on the effectiveness of different tools and the need to adapt technologies to the specific needs of children. In short, the study showed that the use of digital tools can have a positive impact on children's cognitive development, but adequate mediation and training of educators are essential for the success of this practice.
