Abstract

With the advent of Artificial Intelligence in the legal field, several transformations arise that deserve to be considered. On the one hand, AI (Artificial Intelligence) can optimize the work of lawyers, making it more efficient and productive. On the other hand, ethical and responsibility concerns arise related to the implementation of this technology. Given all this, the following question arises: what are the impacts arising from the use of Artificial Intelligence in the practice of law? Therefore, this work proposes to analyze the aspects of the use of Artificial Intelligence in the practice of lawyers, highlighting the tangible benefits and the challenges inherent to this transition. With the purpose of analyzing the aspects of the use of Artificial Intelligence in the practice of lawyers, it is necessary to discuss the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in the practice of lawyers, verify the negative and positive points of the implementation of Artificial Intelligence in the work of lawyers, as well as propose alternatives for the application of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in the practice of law, with a focus on ethics and responsibility. To achieve the desired result, the respective research project was structured using a research methodology based on bibliographical material, with the most relevant authors being Stuart Russell, Peter Norvig, Marcelo Soares, and Marcos Kauffman. It is expected that this work will bring important reflections on the need for legal professionals to be, fundamentally, aware of the challenges and concerns that are closely related to the use of this tool. Furthermore, it will propose alternatives for its better use in the legal field.
