Regenerative Endodontics is an innovation that uses stem cells and growth factors with the aim of revascularizing and regenerating slow tissues in young and mature teeth with pulp involvement. This technique addresses less invasive therapy and has shown promising results in revitalizing the dentin-pulp complex. There are many challenges in this study to be an innovative therapeutic technique. The research work provides benefits in clinical practice in this new modality of endodontics. The objective of this review was to identify the effectiveness of the Regenerative Endodontics technique through cell homing. This review was carried out in the main databases: Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), National Library of Medicine (Pubmed), VHL, Lilacs and BIREME with articles published in the last 10 years, in English and Portuguese. We can conclude that Regenerative Endodontics revolutionizes the treatment of teeth with necrotic pulp by restoring pulp vitality through stem cells, growth factors and bioactive biomaterials. Despite advances, there are still challenges such as the standardization of protocols and more robust clinical studies, but it has great potential to transform the prognosis of compromised teeth.
