In this article, people management practices in a property security company in Ilhéus were explored, focusing on how they affect employee motivation. Recruitment, training and performance assessment strategies were described, highlighting how these practices are fundamental to the development and well-being of the team. Next, a survey was carried out to better understand the level of motivation of employees, perceptions about the recognition they receive on a daily basis and the influence of practices. The results offered us a clear view of employee motivation, highlighting both achievements and aspects that still need attention. In the end, the study reaffirms meeting the needs of employees, promoting a motivating and productive work environment. Therefore, it is clear that well-structured practices have a significant impact on employee motivation and engagement, contributing to the success of the organization.
