Abstract

This article presents VetFinder, a multiplatform application developed in Flutter to improve pet owners’ access to veterinary health services. Using geolocation and filters, the application facilitates the search for veterinary clinics based on proximity, specialties (such as orthopedics and cardiology), and services offered, including 24/7 emergency care. The methodology included in the case study was a requirements survey through market research, followed by the development and integration with the Firestore database for real-time updates. An exploratory qualitative survey was conducted with 120 users to evaluate usability, navigation, and performance. The results highlighted the practicality and efficiency of the tool, proving its positive impact on the search for specialized veterinary services.
