NURSES' APPROACH IN THE FAMILY HEALTH STRATEGY FOR THE PRACTICE OF PHYSICAL EXERCISE IN THE PREVENTION OF OBESITY IN ADULTS

Introduction: Obesity is a growing and global public health problem that affects millions of adults around the world with a significant impact on quality of life and an increase in chronic diseases. The nurse, as a fundamental member of the Family Health Strategy, plays a crucial 9practice of physical exercise and changes in lifestyle. Objective: The main objective of this study is to describe the importance of the nurse's approach in the FHS for adherence to the practice of physical exercises in the adult population, contributing to the prevention of chronic diseases and other problems caused as a result of this disease, such as systemic arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus. Materials and Methods: This study was developed from a bibliographic journal of the articles and was carried out in the scientific database such as Medical Literature Analysis and Retrievel System Online (Medline) via the United States National Library of Medicine (Pubmed), Scielo, Google Scholar with the following keywords: ''nursing'', ''obesity'', ''prevention'', ''ESF''. Findings: The results of the literature review demonstrate that the role of Family Health Strategy (ESF) nurses in promoting physical exercise as a way of preventing obesity in adults has been the subject of several studies. Conclusion: This study highlighted the importance of the role of nurses in the Family Health Strategy (FHS) as health promoters and facilitators in the adoption of healthy habits, especially in encouraging the practice of physical exercise to prevent obesity in adults. The conclusion is that nurses' approach in the FHS should be expanded and strengthened to prevent obesity, since their educational work, combined with regular monitoring and motivational support, can generate significant behavioral changes in the population.
