Among canids, dogs stand out as being completely integrated into human daily life. As a result, veterinary clinical practice deals more frequently with conditions in this type of specimen, especially those related to orthopaedic conditions, since fractures account for a large proportion of surgical work in specialized small animal outpatient clinics. The clinical case in question will outline the aspects of a femoral osteosynthesis performed on a dog without a defined breed (SRD), in which the details of the surgical procedure will be shown, highlighting the patient's radiographic, biochemical and anamnestic report, the anesthetic protocol, the surgical method, drug intervention and post-operative follow-up. The aim of this report is to investigate the procedure and the effectiveness of osteosynthesis as a technique for bone synthesis. The surgical method applied to the case studied proved to be satisfactory in aligning and fixing the femur, contributing to the concomitant adjustment of the pubis and ischium fracture.
