Abstract

This article sought to discuss the importance of raising calves in dairy farming as a crucial step to ensure the healthy and productive development of the herd. The importance of this management is intrinsically linked to the quality of the matrix and, consequently, to milk production. The type of research carried out in this study is a literature review. This methodology was chosen for its ability to compile, analyze and synthesize information already published on the management of calves in dairy farming, providing a comprehensive and critical view of the subject. The present study aimed to present the management of calves in cattle farming. Proper management of calves in dairy farming is essential to ensure the health and development of these animals, directly affecting the productivity of the substrate.
