This study explores the impact of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices on the school inclusion of students with communication disabilities, investigating how these devices aid in developing interaction, learning, and social integration skills. The educational inclusion of students with communication disabilities represents a challenge, as communication barriers often limit their participation and academic progress. AAC devices, such as symbol boards, voice readers, and adapted tablet applications, emerge as essential alternatives to promote communication and provide autonomy for students who do not conventionally use speech. This research adopted a qualitative approach, reviewing studies that analyze the use of these devices in educational settings and observing the impact on students' communicative abilities, academic engagement, and social relationships. Results show that AAC devices enhance expression and interaction capabilities in students with disabilities, strengthening their learning, social integration, and emotional development within the school environment. The study concludes that effective implementation of AAC devices is fundamental to quality inclusive education and that teacher training and institutional support are critical elements for successful inclusion. Furthermore, it recommends public policies to expand access to these devices and ensure educators' training, thus maximizing the positive impact of AAC devices in schools.
