The toy library is an educational and recreational space created to provide children with an environment where play is valued as an essential activity for their overall development. This space, which can be located in schools, hospitals, community centers or other institutions, plays a fundamental role in stimulating children's creativity, socialization and learning. Through a variety of games, toys and activities, the toy library not only entertains, but also educates, promoting the cognitive, motor, social and emotional development of its users.
Efficient management of a toy library is crucial to ensure that it fulfills its pedagogical and social function. Without adequate organization, the educational potential of the space may be underutilized, resulting in a less enriching experience for children. Management involves everything from the physical organization of the space and the selection of available materials to the training of professionals who work in this environment. Thus, good management ensures that recreational activities are planned and executed in a way that maximizes children's learning and development.
This teaching project aims to structure an efficient management model for a toy library, aiming to optimize the use of this space in educational contexts. The proposal is to develop strategies that can be applied to improve the organization, planning and execution of playful activities, ensuring that the environment truly facilitates child development. In addition, the project seeks to involve the entire school community in the process, promoting participatory and collaborative management.
The General Objective of this project is to develop an efficient management model for the toy library, ensuring that this space is used in a way that maximizes child development. The intention is that, in the end, the toy library will be consolidated as a significant learning environment, contributing effectively to the comprehensive development of children, respecting their needs, interests and potential.
