Abstract

This paper explores the application of logotherapy in the lives of post-bariatric individuals, focusing on personal transformation and adaptation to a new lifestyle. The justification lies in the growing need for specialized psychological support for patients undergoing bariatric surgery and facing emotional and existential challenges. The objective is to analyze how logotherapy can contribute to the process of adaptation and personal meaning of these individuals. The research adopts a qualitative approach, with a literature review on logotherapy and case studies of therapeutic interventions. The results show that logotherapy facilitates the adaptation of patients, helping them find new meaning and improve their quality of life. It is concluded that logotherapy offers a valuable approach for the psychological support of post-bariatric patients, promoting a significant personal transformation and coping with the emotional challenges associated with the recovery process, while working to prevent weight regain.
