This study on the use of Artificial Intelligence, hereinafter AI, in education is justified by the growing incorporation of this technology into pedagogical practices and the need to explore its impacts. The main objective is to map emerging trends and ethical challenges related to the use of AI, as well as to investigate the innovations that this technology can bring, particularly in the personalization of teaching. The research adopts a qualitative approach based on a literature review of 21 recent articles, published between 2023 and 2024, collected through the ResearchRabbit.ai tool, which aids in the discovery and organization of academic knowledge networks. The sample includes studies that address the use of AI in educational contexts, excluding those that focus solely on technical aspects. The results reveal that ethical challenges are widely discussed in the analyzed articles, with a focus on barriers such as teacher training to handle new technologies and the difficulties of implementation. The word "challenge" was frequently mentioned, reflecting the authors' concern about adapting AI to the educational environment. Among the innovations, the personalization of teaching and gamification stand out as promising strategies to improve student engagement. This study aims to highlight that, although AI has great potential to transform education, its implementation must be accompanied by clear policies and continuous teacher training. The active participation of teachers, students, and lawmakers in the debate on the use of AI is crucial to ensure that this technology serves as support, not a substitute, for human interactions in the educational process.
