Repetitive strein injuries (RSI) and work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) are injuries to the musculoskeletal system and are present in the population’s daily lives. Its pathophysiology is multifactorial, involving repetitive physical effort, intensity in the execution of movements, biopsychosocial factors, prolonged muscle contraction with static overload, excesso strenght and individual predispositions. The diagnosis has been underreported in the western macro-region of Paraná, witch makes this type of injury a greater public health [1]problem than it currently appears to be. Understanding the epidemiological profile of these injuries is importante so that heath and prevention policies can be developed to make controlling the incidence of cases more effective. This is an observational study of a descriptive and quantitative nature with data obtained from the Information Technology Department of the Unified Health System (DATASUS). Epidemiological characteristics were observed based on gender, age group, exposure time, working hours, clinical manifestations and absence from work activities.
