This study addressed the challenges faced by educators in adopting active methodologies within the modern educational context. The general objective was to analyze the difficulties encountered by teachers when implementing methodologies such as Project-Based Learning (PBL), Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and Gamification, focusing on technological and pedagogical implications. The research, of a bibliographic nature, involved a review of relevant literature to identify the main barriers and proposed solutions for integrating these methodologies. The development revealed that, despite the theoretical advantages of active methodologies, such as fostering more participatory and engaging teaching, educators face significant challenges. Notable challenges include the need for continuous training, adaptation to new technologies, and classroom management. The final considerations indicated that while active methodologies show potential for improving learning, practical implementation still faces difficulties that need to be overcome. The study emphasized the need for additional research to explore effective strategies and support the successful integration of these approaches in the educational environment.
