EVALUATION OF THE QUALITY OF SOCIAL RELATIONS OF HEMODIALITIC PATIENTS

The hemodialysis patient experiences the presence of several factors and changes in his life, especially the socioeconomic, sociodemographic factors, lifestyle change, physical disability and emotional repercussions. These are characteristics that directly interfere with the social relations of the individual, making them vulnerable to social isolation. Thus, this study aims to evaluate the quality of the social relationship of hemodialysis patients. It is quantitative, analytical and cross-sectional research. The WHOQOL-Bref questionnaire was used in the Portuguese version of Portugal, being the focus and determinant for this study only the Social Relationship. Domain. The sample consisted of 182 patients from two nephrology centers in the interior of Goiás. The chi-square test was used, considering the significance level p <0.05. The results show that 67% of Ceres and 60% of Goianésia patients have low quality social relationships. The sample consisted of 182 patients from two nephrology centers in the interior of Goiás. Thus, patients undergoing hemodialysis in Goiás have a low-quality social relationship and characteristics such as age, gender, education, length of treatment, psychological and physical aspects influence the social relationship of the patient.
