Socio-educational measures are repressive measures provided for in the Statute, applicable to young people aged 12 to 18 who commit an offense. In this sense, the aim is to resocialize young people so that they cannot become repeat offenders. This study aims to discuss the effectiveness of socio-educational measures applied to adolescents in the resocialization process. It is based on a bibliographic review, based on scientific articles, books, periodicals and current legislation on the respective subject. Data collection will be carried out through databases such as Scielo, Google Scholar, among others, from 2019 to 2024. The results show that there is a divergence regarding the effectiveness of socio-educational measures in relation to adolescent offenders. On the one hand, it is understood that socio-educational measures are not effective in preventing the commission of offenses committed by young people, where they often become worse beings when they reenter society. However, on the other hand, measures of a non-custodial nature are effective, as is the case with the warning measure, obligation to repair the damage and provision of services to the community, except for the supervised freedom measure, for the reason that there is no technical preparation to guide the juvenile offender, thus increasing the impunity of the population.
