The present work aims to present Consumer Law, focusing on Article 49 - Law of Repentance, the impacts caused by Covid-19 and the importance of the balance between the consumer and the supplier. The consumer, in turn, is any natural or legal person who purchases or uses a product or service as a final recipient, as provided for in Article 2 of the Consumer Code. According to Flávio Tartuce, article 2 of the Consumer Code expressly adopted the finalist or subjective theory to qualify the consumer. theme published between the years 2010 to 2022. In conclusion, the study analyzes the evolution of consumer law and observes that the pandemic situation imposed a burden on the supplier that he could not bear. In the face of an economic crisis and the imminent collapse of the private sector, losses in returns of perishable or direct-to-consumer products are proof of this.
