Studying about autism in specific cultural contexts such as Guinea-Bissau is essential to promote awareness, combat stigmas and implement policies that ensure full respect for the rights and inclusion of autistic children in society. In this context, the present study examined the intersection between cultural traditions, social perceptions, and the rights of autistic children in Guinea-Bissau, highlighting the challenges faced by these children and their families. Through a comprehensive analysis of cultural practices, mothers' reports, and educational policies, the urgent need for interventions and public policies aimed at raising awareness, inclusive education, and protecting the rights of autistic children is identified. Multifaceted strategies are proposed to promote social transformation and ensure a more inclusive and equitable future for all autistic children in Guinea-Bissau.
