Bipolar disorder (BD) is a complex psychiatric condition characterized by episodes of mania and depression, significantly impacting patients' quality of life. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has emerged as an effective intervention, both alone and in combination with pharmacological treatments, for managing symptoms and improving quality of life. This study presents an integrative review of the literature on the impact of CBT on the quality of life of individuals with bipolar disorder. The search included articles indexed in databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and PsycINFO, using specific inclusion criteria to select relevant studies published in the last 10 years. The results indicate that CBT promotes not only symptom reduction, but also improvements in emotional, social, and functional aspects of patients' lives. Training in coping skills and early recognition of warning signs were identified as crucial factors for the effectiveness of CBT. The conclusion suggests that CBT should be considered an integral part of the treatment of bipolar disorder, contributing to a more comprehensive and effective therapeutic approach.
