Objective: To describe the impact of neurosurgery on patients with epilepsy and improvement of quality of life. Methods: An integrative review of the literature, containing the following guiding question: What are the impacts of neurosurgery on patients with epilepsy and its improvements in quality of life? To create this question, the PICO strategy was used, where “p” population: People with epilepsy, “I” interest: Assessment of the impacts of neurosurgery on patients with epilepsy and its improvements in quality of life, and “C” and “ The “context: Description of the impacts of neurosurgery on patients with epilepsy and its improvements in quality of life. An advanced search was used through the Virtual Health Library (VHL), crossing the descriptors using the Boolean operators “AND” and “OR”. Results: Through advanced research, a total of 111 articles were obtained, of which 5 were used in the discussion. Conclusion: It can be concluded that surgery is an effective method for patients whose epilepsy is uncontrolled, even with the help of medication. Furthermore, the doctor must offer welcoming and humanized care to the patient, clarifying doubts about the disease.
